Pomerantz Center
About the Pomerantz Center
Opened in 2005, the Pomerantz Center houses several student-focused programs, which previously were located in various buildings across campus. Throughout the four-story, 70,000-square-foot building:
- prospective students and their parents prepare for campus tours through the Admission Visitors Center;
- undergraduate students meet with advisors in the Academic Advising Center
- students seek advice about internships or job-search strategies from advisors in the Pomerantz Career Center;
- MBA students attend class in one of two executive-style classrooms; and
- recruiters interview potential employees (through both the Pomerantz Career Center and the MBA Career Services office).
The center's integrated career services strategy is what makes it one of the nation's only university facilities dedicated to enhancing students' total educational experience—from admission to graduation and beyond.

Many companies will visit Iowa's campus for job fairs and on-campus interviews as part of the employer relations program. Last year, more than 250 companies participated. The administrative offices of the Full-time and Executive MBA programs also are located here, along with two large classrooms that accommodate the programs' courses.
