English Language Discussion Circles give international students a chance to practice their English, expand their vocabulary, and learn about American culture by chatting with a tutor from the Judith R. Frank Business Communications Center. Each week features a new topic of conversation. Discussion circles meet every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at noon. Students can bring their lunch and stay for all or part of the hour. No appointment is necessary. All students are welcome.

John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center and the UI Research Foundation will host the UI Business Model Competition with $60,000 in total cash prizes. The competition is based on a new approach to entrepreneurship, which encourages aspiring entrepreneurs to test business assumptions early with customers in order to make necessary pivots to their original ideas and end with a validated solution to their customers' need. Open to UI faculty, staff, and undergraduate/graduate students, as well as UIRP and BELL tenants. More information
