  • Tippie Society Campaign Challenge Announced (Sep 12, 2014)
    In fall 2014, Henry (BSC49) and Patricia Tippie announced an ambitious challenge to alumni and friends of the Tippie College of Business. To inspire more high-impact gifts, and to help the college reach its For Iowa. Forever More. campaign goal of $125 million, the Tippies will give up to $15 million to the college by matching gifts of $1 million or more.
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers Excellence Fund Created (Sep 10, 2014)
    Partners and Tippie alumni with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Chicago have created the PricewaterhouseCoopers Excellence Fund with an initial pledges of $300,000 to support faculty research and graduate students.

    Henry B. Tippie, one of the University of Iowa's most accomplished and generous alumni, will visit campus to deliver the Phil's Day keynote, "Life with Phil;" on Thursday, May 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the second floor ballroom at the Iowa Memorial Union.

    University of Iowa President Sally Mason spoke to members of the Tippie College of Business faculty and staff Monday, March 3, congratulating the college on achieving a 91 percent participation rate in the UI's first annual We Are Phil faculty and staff giving program.

    Some alumni may remember Professor Eleanor Birch as a tough statistics professor or for her quick Massachusetts accent, warning students each semester, "I will try to talk more slowly if you promise to try to listen more quickly." To Marie Kidder (MBA80), she was a valuable mentor and leader who supported her dream to have a career in business.
