From non-U.S. institutions

We are able to review your application using unofficial, digitally duplicated copies of your transcripts (or marks sheets as well as a degree certificate for Indian applicants) submitted within the online application.

If offered admission, the offer will be contingent upon receipt and verification of official transcripts.

Official transcripts from non-U.S. schools must bear the original stamp or seal and signature of a school officer.

Official transcripts should be sent directly from the issuing institution to admissions@uiowa.edu (do not send unofficial copies to this account).

These records must include:

  • proof that the degree was conferred (i.e., diplomas, titles, degrees, or certificates awarded).

Documents not in English must be accompanied by official English translations certified by the issuing institution. Photocopies without this certification will not be considered official.
