Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is looking to inform undergraduates in economics that they are hiring research assistants. The job can vary from position to position, but in general, jobs are highly quantitative in nature. They are looking for applicants who have training in mathematical statistics, econometrics, or both, as well as good computer skills. Most positions require solid training in economics through the intermediate theory level. Course work in money and banking, finance, or international trade theory also is useful.
