Teaching and Research

All Ph.D. students are required to serve as research or teaching assistants during the course of their graduate work at Iowa. As teaching and research assistants, graduate students are valuable members of the Department of Economics. Moreover, research or teaching experience is an important educational supplement to course work for graduate students, and it will be a valuable asset in the marketplace.
