Consulting Project

The MBA Consulting Project consulting teams work directly with the client company under the supervision of experienced consultants, professors, and certified process and leadership development coaches. Since its inception in 1997, MBA project teams have completed more than 50 major projects involving more than 10 major industrial sectors on three different continents for a wide range of clients including privately-held firms, not-for-profits, government agencies, and entrepreneurs. Given the magnitude of the project’s importance, it is expected that the MBA consulting team will work for a total of seven months and spend approximately 1,500 to 1,700 hours on the project. The projects begin in November and end in May.

The scope of past MBA Consulting projects has been broad. Past projects focused largely on stimulating operational improvement, while more recent projects have emphasized capability development required to build competitive advantage. In each project, the CIMBA process methodology was used effectively to address issues encompassing the areas of strategy, operations, and implementation, including:

  • Asset Allocation and Productivity
  • Digital Marketing
  • Change Management and ERP Implementation
  • New Market Entry and Business Creation
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • New Product Development
  • Supply Chain Management and Logistics
  • Quality Initiatives in Manufacturing
  • Purchasing and Supplier Management
  • Sales Force Effectiveness
  • Brand Development
