Each year, the EMBA schedule kicks off with a six-day residency week.
For first-year EMBA students: you get to know classmates and study group members. Additionally you'll be introduced to the administration and some of the faculty. Instructional events include a roubust business simulation to introduce some business concepts and facilite study-group formation. There will also be some personal leadership development to team building. The week concludes with your first full day of classes.
During this time we'll also take care of some of the adminstrative chores such as getting your picture taken, issuing your official University of Iowa identification card, and making sure your immunizations are up-to-date.
The second-year residency week is an intense business simulation that draws on all the previous year's course work and prepares you for the more in-depth studies of the second year Executive MBA Program. In both years, you'll also participate in team activities, dine with business leaders, and build your presentation skills.
