Department of Finance

Now is an ideal time to concentrate on the world of finance. Whether you're interested in corporate finance, financial planning, or mergers and acquisitions, our well-rounded and hands-on program is right for you.

At the Tippie College of Business, we are built on a foundation of integrity, innovation, and impact. Our finance faculty are certainly no exception. For example, the impact of research produced by Finance Professor Erik Lie has been far-reaching and impacted the nation's top executives. Lie's research indicated hundreds of companies were manipulating stock option accounting rules by backdating option grants, resulting in greater gains for top executives. His discovery triggered a series of SEC investigations.
