Campus Visits—Explore Tippie Firsthand

Many students tell us that their first visit solidified their decision to attend Tippie. While the web is a great source of information, it's difficult to assess culture and fit without experiencing it firsthand. Visit in person and see how you'll fit into the vibrant Tippie community.

Your campus visit will be individually designed based on your area of interest and your experience. Visits include:

A visit to an MBA class with your student host

Lunch with students studying in your area of interest

A tour of the Tippie School of Management

A conversation with the Career Academy director in your area of interest

Meeting with MBA Career Services

An informal meeting with an admissions team member

Your admissions interview (if you're ready)

Attending class is a great way for you to see the exchange between professors and students. In most cases, you'll see a collaborative discussion of thoughts and ideas rather than a one-way lecture.

Visits typically last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; we can adjust your visit schedule so it works for you. One night of complimentary hotel accommodations will be provided during your visit.

Who Should Visit

Campus visits at Tippie are highly personalized, and we work hard to make every visit outstanding. Because of the time we spend to plan each visit, and in order to make the best use of your time, we'll review your request for a visit -- including your resume and career goals -- to compare your profile to the background of candidates typically admitted to Tippie before we move forward with scheduling your visit.

After you request your visit, we'll reach out by phone or email with next steps. In some cases we may request that you wait to visit until after you've taken the GMAT or GRE, so we can give you a clearer picture of your chances of being admitted to Tippie.

When to Visit

We recommend visiting Monday-Thursday when classes are in session (late August to early December in fall; late January to early May in spring) so you can attend a class and meet our students. If these dates don't work, we'll still do our best to accomodate your request.

When you register, we'll ask you to upload your resume. Admissions will review this to determine your student host. So we can spend adequate time planning your visit, please register at least one week before your visit. We'll send a detailed itinerary before you arrive.

Travel Reimbursement Available for Outstanding Candidates

Prospective students with excellent qualifications that surpass our average applicant's can apply for reimbursement for the cost of traveling to Tippie. When requesting your visit date, simply select "Request Travel Reimbursement" and complete the required fields. You can also contact admissions to find out if you qualify before scheduling. Including your GMAT or GRE score is strongly encouraged in order to be seriously considered for reimbursement (for GREs, include your verbal and quant score breakdown).

Campus visits are not available on the following dates:

University holidays (check the master calendar for dates)

Spring break (one week in March)

Finals week (mid-December and mid-May)
