Applications are reviewed and decisions are made on a rolling basis; enrollments are for fall semester only.

All applications will be reviewed by two branches of the University: the Tippie MBA Admissions Office (MBA requirements and admissions criteria) and the University of Iowa Graduate School (verification of educational documentation and credentials, and international visa requirements). You may be contacted by parties from either area.

Application Requirements

Since the 2011 application cycle, we have eliminated the cover letter and recommendation letter requirements from our application (details).

Before your application will be considered complete, the items listed below must be submitted. The Application Checklist explains where/how to submit each item.

• Professional resume (not to exceed 2 pages)
• Application (submitted online)
• Essays (questions are included in the application)
• Three recommender names with contact information
• Official transcripts from all postsecondary educational institutions you attended (Indian applicants: please review these details)
• Official GMAT score report (details and exceptions)
• TOEFL or IELTS scores (international applicants only)
• Application fee of $60 (domestic students) or $100 (international students). Fee waivers are available for select highly qualified applicants (details).
• Completed admissions interview. Interviews are conducted by admissions staff on campus or via Skype, and are by invitation only after you apply, with the exception of applicants who visit campus, who will complete their interview during the visit.
