A guide for MBA students' hands-on experiences
In the BSC, Tippie MBAs are treated as consultants, not students. They're expected to handle themselves as on-the-job professionals with clients, BSC directors, colleagues, and supervisors. MBA consultants learn how real business works, participate in actual business decisions, and experience the impact of their decisions alongside the client.
All project teams are cross-functional, comprised of MBAs with concentrations in finance, marketing, or strategic innovation. MBAs choose the top three projects they would like to work on and then the BSC Directors assign the teams based on project scope, student experience pre-MBA, current MBA concentration, and skill sets necessary to complete the project successfully.
