Early TGIT - Wine and Beer Tasting Add to your Outlook Calendar

Join us to celebrate the end of the quarter!  The following will be available to taste:
4 Deschutes pales and IPAS with a cheese pairing
2 French reds with a cheese pairing
A French white and sparkling rose with a cheese pairing

At the conclusion, you will be able to choose a glass from one of the beverages sampled.  Light appetizers will also be provided by MBAA.

Tickets are $10 to sample 4 beers and 4 wines, in addition to a full glass of your favorite at the end.  Please bring cash or there are ATMs close by.  Tickets are only required for those wishing to participate in the tasting.

Significant others, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to attend.

Finance Academy: Behavioral Finance Add to your Outlook Calendar

Remember when someone would demonstrate how your mind plays visual tricks on you where you think you see something you dont? (Jump on over to for some examples!)

Well, your mind plays tricks on you with numbers as well.

Behavioral Finance is the field of study that looks at why your mind guides you to decisions and conclusions that arent always correct.Basically, you have mental biases which you may not even know about. And even if you do know about them, you cant do anything about it.Anchoring, Overconfidence, Herd Behavior and Confirmation Bias are all ways you may not make decisions in your best interest.

Tom Rietz, our Faculty Director, specializes in research in this area, and he will share with us in Academy just what is Behavioral Finance  and can we help ourselves????
