On Tuesday, March 26, Mark will be convening the entire class for a required session. Please note that no preparation is required for the meeting. Mark will be reviewing the midpoint peer evaluation process during the session and time will be allotted for completion of the midpoint peer evaluations. As is stated on the course syllabus, these midpoint peer evaluations will be factored into your final grade for the course.

Marketing Academy Guest Speaker: Mitch Tanney (STATS, LLC) 
Mitch Tanney is a recent (2011) MBA graduate from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business. Mitch currently works for STATS, LLC, the worlds leading sports technology, data and content company. As the Manager of Football Products at STATS, Mitch is responsible for product planning, client management, and football analytics. Mitch originally joined STATS in the spring of 2011 as the Manager of Sports Analytics before moving into his current role.
Lecture Overview
The terms "Big Data" & "Analytics" have become commonplace in nearly every industry as the result of new data sources and newly developed tools and techniques that aim to analyze the aforementioned data sources more efficiently. The professional and college team markets are no exception as teams must gather and interpret new data sources that ultimately drive their decision-making processes. Within this framework, Mitch will discuss how the Sports Solutions Group at STATS serves the professional and college team markets while also providing interactive examples.
