MBAA Lunch & Learn presented by GFMA Add to your Outlook Calendar

Join us for an MBAA town-hall followed by a presentation by Landis Wiley, an investment advisor from Principal in Cedar Rapids. Landis is currently in the PM MBA program, with an expectation to graduate in 2015. When you start that new job or internship this summer and you receive an orientation packet including all of your benefit options, will you know what to do? Landis will walk through 401(k) plans and how to interpret your companys plans, including how to change elections. He will also guide us through different health care plans and flexible spending accounts. He will provide information, but come prepared with questions of everything you have been confused about in this area in the past! Lunch will be provided for MBAA members who RSVP.

Marketing Academy: Why CPG Brands Fail, Featuring Peggy Stover Add to your Outlook Calendar

Sometimes a brand launch is a hit!  And sometimes, well, the term epic fail didnt come from nowhere.  Our own Peggy Stover from the Marketing Institute is a veteran of several outstanding CPG companies, including Coors, Kraft Foods, SC Johnson and Kelloggs, and will join us to discuss the lessons that we can learn when things DONT go so well.  If youve ever heard of Crystal Pepsi or Coke 2, youll love this session.

Miss Representation Screening & Discussion - Open to ALL Students and a Guest Add to your Outlook Calendar

As part of 2-part documentary series examining how gender stereotypes affects leadership in the U.S., NAWMBA is hosting a screening on MISS REPRESENTATION. The film explores the media's portrayal of woman in leadership and how it relates to the under-representation of women in positions of power.

A full catered meal will be served beginning at 5:00. All students are invited and are encouraged to bring a friend or significant other. Screening will being at 5:30 to allow for working guests to attend.

After the viewing we will open discussion to the group of the issues covered in the movie and how they apply to us in life and our business careers.
