Warren Buffet trip Application Deadline Add to your Outlook Calendar

The quest has began to select 20 students to attend our annual trip to visit Mr. Warren Buffett. This is a great learning opportunity and experience to have with the Oracle. We will also visit 3 Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries and will eat at Mr. Buffetts favorite restaurant, Piccolo Petes.

We will depart at 4PM on Thursday, February the 27th and stay in Council Bluffs that evening. Students will be responsible for the cost of a hotel room which is about $45. The only other costs are for meals. On Friday, February 28 the group will head over to Omaha.

How to Apply:

If you wish to attend this trip you must submit a list of 3 questions that you would ask Mr. Buffett during the Q&A session with him. These questions will be graded by faculty members. Each question will be graded on a scale of 1 to 3. The grade will reflect the quality of your question in the following categories as well as grammar and professionalism:

1)   Knowledge of Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway, and/or current business events

2)   Relevant questions on business, careers, leadership, etc.

Submitted questions may address one category or both. Those with the best questions that are selected for the trip will have the opportunity to ask them to Mr. Buffett at the Q&A.

Please e-mail your questions to me by  Friday, November 29th. That is all you need to do to apply.

The selection process will have a random component to it but the higher score you receive on your questions, the better chance you have of being selected to attend. An excel model will be used to make the final selections.
