At Your Fingertips
In addition to MBA Competitive Prep and one-on-one career coaching, Tippie MBA students learn the ropes of career planning and job searches through a range of resources available. Because students’ lives don’t run from 9 to 5, many of these resources are available online, 24/7.
Alumni Volunteer Network—More than 750 Tippie graduates embrace the opportunity to help a fellow Tippie MBA and have volunteered to assist you. Access to this network is conveniently located within our password-protected electronic recruiting system.
Company Contacts—We’ve been in touch with more than 1,000 company representatives over the years, and we will continue to expand our reach. If you want to speak with someone in a target organization and don’t know where to begin, MBA Career Services is a great place to start.
Online Recruiting—Our electronic recruiting system manages electronic resume referrals, campus interviews and information sessions, and the Tippie MBA job-posting portal for students and our employer partners. We actively market this resource to key corporate contacts to continually increase access to employment opportunities for Tippie MBAs.
Company Research Sources—Conduct company research online with industry-leading database tools such as CareerShift, Dun & Bradstreet, Standard & Poors, CareerSearch, and Lexis/Nexis.
Practice Interviews—Hone your interviewing skills with outside consultants, career services professionals, and peers through the ongoing practice interview sessions. We also partner with InterviewStream, a comprehensive web interviewing tool that Tippie students can access and utilize 24/7.
Tippie Resume Book—The Tippie Resume Books are housed in our electronic recruiting system and actively promoted to companies across the nation at the start of each school year.
Career Services Resource Center—A space dedicated to the MBA job search, the center is equipped with computers, printers, job-search resources, and company research materials.
How-to and Industry Guides—Covering topics such as letter writing, resume development, interviewing, job-search strategies, negotiations, and networking, the guides also list 2,500 company profiles and includes 1,100 career advice articles.
