Mission Satement

Our primary goal in serving in this organization is to increase the value the Tippie MBA. We can accomplish this by:

  1. Building the Tippie Brand
    • It is our responsibility to represent the program. We are constantly searching for new ways to build awareness about what the Tippie name represents—whether it be by reaching out to prospective employers or the community at large.
  2. Integration of Service
    • We believe that, as leaders, we have a responsibility of serving our community. By doing so, we build character, create social awareness, and instill a sense of pride within our program. Through our commitment of giving back to others, we build sustainable cooperative relationships with local organizations and businesses.
  3. Enhance the Alumni Network
    • Tippie alumni have built a legacy of success. As students, we share a responsibility with the school in reaching out to alumni by building relationships through innovative events and initiatives.
  4. Strengthen Student Relations
    • Our greatest responsibility is to our students. First, we believe we share a role in facilitating the building of meaningful, lasting relationships between students. Secondly, as the voice of the student body, we are charged with continuing to build the relationship between students and the administration. By doing so, we see that the needs of both are being met—ultimately feeding back into enhancing the Tippie experience for all.

Tippie MBA 2005

"The MBA Association offered multiple opportunities to meet with business professionals in a variety of settings—from one-on-one interactions with alumni to business seminars to small-group forums. These meetings and interactions with individuals in the field were a vital supplement to the quality education offered by the Tippie School of Management."

Tippie MBA 2005

"One of the greatest things about the Tippie MBA program is your classmates. The MBA Association makes sure there are plenty of opportunities to get to know the other students outside the classroom. With no class on Fridays, TGIF became TGIT and like clockwork every Thursday night, students meet up at one of the many local restaurants to have a good time and relax.

"With such an international flavor to the class, the MBA Association also hosted lunches throughout the year so we could hear firsthand from our classmates about the business environment and customs of their home countries.

"I graduated from the program having made some truly lifelong friends, and the seeds of these friendships were, in many cases, planted at MBA Association events."
