He knew then he wanted to utilize his business and marketing education to maintain a close connection to sports, so he was determined to work for Nike after graduation. "I wanted Nike because Nike is the best and I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to see if I had what it takes to make it there."
Zach interviewed for an available position when he received disappointing news. "About one week before graduation I learned I didn't get the Nike job. But I didn't give up. I continued my job search every day. A short time later I was contacted by a Nike professional who told me about a different position and they hired me."

Today Zach is Global Footwear Product Director of Men's Athletic Training shoe line where he creates innovative marketing strategies and focuses on reducing product time to market. "This is a large and diverse product line where I have the opportunity to pursue my passion. I'm a firm believer that you're only as good as your designers and your developers, and I'm surrounded by great ones."
Zach also serves on Nike's Innovation Steering Committee where he develops long term plans and strategies to infuse innovation into Nike footwear products. One of Zach's primary goals is to maintain a relevant and advanced position ahead of Nike competitors.
