Hawkinson Institute of Business Finance
Named in honor of an extraordinary alumnus who became one of the country's finest financial experts, the institute is part of the Department of Finance in the UI Henry B. Tippie College of Business. The Hawkinson Institute's goal is to facilitate career opportunities in the investment banking, financial services, and consulting industries for our students. The institute is a major link between the faculty, alumni, and students of the Henry B. Tippie College of Business and the financial and consulting community.
Scholars
Every fall, we select a group of students to participate in the Hawkinson Scholars Program. We provide these students with resume assistance, mock interviewing, and career coaching, and we bring in speakers from a variety of companies and industries to help inform scholars of potential career opportunities that many students are unaware of.
