Student ID Numbers
A randomly generated 8-digit university ID number system is used to identify you in the university community. Your university ID number will never change and never be reused.
To view your university ID, go to the ISIS website and log in using your HawkID and password. At the "Welcome Page," click on "My UIowa," then click on "My University ID." Your 8-digit university ID number will be displayed.
UI No-Photo ID Cards
You can apply for a University of Iowa "No-Photo ID Card" by completing the application form and sending it to the School of Management via CEG.
The No-Photo ID Card looks like the Photo ID, with two exceptions:
- "No photo on file" is stated in place of the photo
- "No signature on file" is listed in place of the actual signature
Uses for a No-Photo ID Card:
- Charge UI Book Store items by telephone or over the web to your student account. (A UI Photo ID Card is required to charge items purchased in person.)
- Check out books and materials (via Interlibrary Loan, Distance-Education Document Delivery Services, or in person).
Limitation of a No-Photo ID Card:
Claims for some UI No-Photo ID Card uses, such as student discounts on tickets to UI arts or athletic events, may not be honored. (A UI Photo ID Card is required for these types of purchases.)
