IEM 2000 U.S. Congressional Control: Winner-Takes-All Market

LIQUIDATION OF 2000 US CONGRESSIONAL CONTROL MARKET

Contracts in the IEM's 2000 US Congressional Control Market (Congress00) will be liquidated at 5:00 PM CST on Tuesday, December 5, with the contract RH_NS earning $1.00 and the contracts RH_RS, NH_RS and NH_NS each earning $0.00. These liquidation values are dictated by the 220 to 211 seat margin for the Republicans in the House, and the 50 to 50 split in the Senate. Results for the House were announced in the New York times (the market's official source) in the days following the election, and the result for the Senate was announced in the December 2 edition of the NYT, following the release of the recount in the state of Washington.

The IEM Congressional Control Market is a real-money futures market where contract payoffs will be determined by the outcome of the 2000 U.S. Congressional Elections. Please see the market prospectus for specific details of this market.

The market is open to all traders world-wide. Consult our online trader's manual for additional information.
