Short-term Global Opportunities
The Tippie College, together with the University of Iowa Institute for International Business, offers MBA students the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the international business environment and the role of culture in world trade through an intensive study-abroad experience. The MBA global learning opportunities normally consist of a 6-10 day study trip that includes a seminar and academic excursions to international business and cultural centers.
Through meetings with top executives, corporate visits, cultural excursions, and by networking with business professionals and alumni, you’ll experience first-hand the business and cultural practices of your GLO destination, while also developing a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of globalization. Business visits may include the following sectors: banking and finance, government, manufacturing, transportation, trade, technology and real estate. Companies visited will be a mix of multinationals and local firms.
