Program Services
What Is Included:
- Predeparture orientation on campus
- Orientation upon arrival in Madrid
- A guaranteed, unpaid internship placement (includes a phone interview by EUSA, followed by a preliminary placement interview with the employer in Madrid)
- Six University of Iowa academic credits
- Home-stay accommodations (breakfast and 5 dinners/wk)*
- Once weekly laundry available through the home-stay family
- Sheets and towels
- Transportation pass for central Madrid
- Basic social program
- Crisis and emergency management services
- 24/7 emergency support
- Insurance provided by OSA
*For the first three nights of the program, the group will stay in a hotel. Dinner is included on the first night of the program, but meals for the other days in the hotel will not be included.
