Marketing Institute
The mission of the Marketing Institute is to prepare students for challenging entry-level positions in today's competitive marketing environment. Marketing careers are incredibly diverse and demanding. Fields within marketing include advertising, brand management, retailing, and market research, to name a few. The institute, a partnership between faculty, students, alumni, and members of the marketing community, delivers its mission by:
- Using teaching materials, seminars, case studies, field trips, and internships to further develop the skills, principles, and perspectives of our top undergraduates.
- Providing management education and team-building seminars that focus on developing professional skills such as teamwork, written and oral communication, executive manner and dress, interviewing, resume writing, and how to better market oneself.
- Enabling participation in case competitions to help identify and meet the current challenges faced by marketers.
- Bringing in executives from leading corporations to talk about their careers and companies and answer students' questions through a speaker series.
