Students involved in the Marketing Institute are top-quality hires who can contribute immediately to the success of your business. The Tippie College of Business attracts some of the best and brightest students in the country. The Marketing Institute admits approximately 20 of the top undergraduates interested in a career in marketing and further hones their skills through classroom education, real-world business consulting, and extensive teamwork.

The Marketing Institute makes it easy for corporations to have access to the top University of Iowa students. We can help match students with a recruiters' specific needs. We can send recruiters a prescreened set of student resumes which meet those needs. The institute can assist students with interview costs should travel be required for a first-round interview.

The institute can implement a recruiting strategy that fits your needs whether you want to post jobs and internships online or visit campus for interviews and career fairs. Please contact:

Getting Involved

Corporate partners of the institute are invited to participate in activities that teach students about marketing and increase student awareness of opportunities in marketing. These activities produce returns for both yourself and students. First, they help ensure that your future employees are as knowledgeable, skilled, and ready for the workplace as possible. Second, they enhance your presence on campus, connecting you with potential future employees.

Examples of these activities include:

  • Participate in a marketing research project where students help address a problem your organization faces. Students plan, design, conduct, and report on the marketing research they undertook. They also convert their research findings into actionable recommendations for management.
  • Develop case studies for Tippie marketing courses.
  • Participate in our speaker series where you'll visit campus to talk about your career and company and answer students' questions.
  • Bring students to your headquarters for an in-depth case project that addresses a business challenge your company is facing or for professional skills development.
