Senior Business Analyst, HNI
Iana Stahov experienced a transformation. Until recently. she was a student in the Full-time MBA Program—the place where students build on their own individualized strengths and emerge as global business leaders.
Originally from Chisinau, Moldova, Iana came to the United States to pursue higher education and found it in the state of Iowa. After earning an undergraduate degree from a private college in Iowa, she was employed about seven months then sought a Tippie MBA degree in finance and accounting.
"I have definitely learned to work a lot faster, make quicker decisions, and better delegate work to my peers," she says.
She felt the transformation happening every day especially in what she gained from exposure to the Henry Fund as a student-analyst.
"The Henry Fund has been my most valuable learning experience. As a student-analyst of the $1M equity portfolio, I've gained applicative experience, macroeconomic drivers understanding, and sound financial assumptions and forecast development. It's all essential for any area of finance—investments or corporate."
Although she's traveled far for higher education, she knows she's in the right place to transform her career in finance.
"I have grown to appreciate the Midwest's work ethic and Iowans' sincere desire to deliver quality results, and the University of Iowa has one of the most praised MBA programs in the region. I'm so impressed by the amount of resources available to me, including support of faculty members. I am convinced a larger program would not be able to provide that."
