Ph.D. Student Receives Outstanding Mentor Award
In-Sue Oh received the 2009 Sandra Barken Outstanding Mentor Award in the social sciences from the UI Graduate Student Senate for his dedication to mentoring junior collegians. He will graduate in May with a Ph.D. in management and organizations from the Tippie College.
Oh received master's and bachelor's degrees in industrial organizational psychology from SunKyunKwan University. His research is focused on personnel selection and its methods and personality, intelligence, and performance. He received the Meredith P. Crawford Fellowship in I-O Psychology from the Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) in 2008, the Korean Honor Scholarship from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in 2007, and the Gallup Korea Research Award for one of the four best papers published in Korean journals in 2007.
