Win, Place, Show: TippieTECH Takes Home Three Trophies
Fifteen students from Tippie’s Technology & Innovation Association bested 30 teams from across the United States to take first and second place in an Association of Information Technology (AIT) business analytics competition in Atlanta, Ga.
The students and faculty advisor, Yvonne Galusha, attended the AIT's National Collegiate Conference last month.
Michael Lang and Charles Knight achieved first place in the Business Analytics competition. Dalton Friedhoff and Karly Holland took a close second. Galusha was invited to help administer the competition due to Iowa's Business Analytics accolades earned at the 2013 conference.
Charles Knight and Megan Moran earned 3rd place in the Microsoft Office Solutions competition out of 81 teams, and Scott Alzheimer and Yahong Ding received an Honorable Mention in Systems Analysis & Design out of 43 teams. Alzheimer also achieved his ICCP:ISA-Practitioner certification while at the conference.
TippieTECH (formerly Iowa BTA and MISA) has attended the AITP National Conference for many years, earning top places in competitions such as security and networking, among others.
