Registration is under way for FastTrac Planning entrepreneurial training course
FastTrac Planning, sponsored by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center and the Small Business Development Center at the University of Iowa and the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce, is a nationally acclaimed entrepreneurial training program designed for persons interested in improving their business management skills and increasing their company's profitability.
Topics to be discussed during the program include: hiring and motivating staff; protecting your assets; identifying new target markets; developing successful market penetration strategies; managing and improving cash flow; sources of financing; and harvesting your business.
FastTrac Planning begins on Monday, May 1 and will meet at the UI campus from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays through June 1. Classes will not be held on May 25 or May 29. The program normally costs $500, but Iowa City area participants will pay only $299, which includes the cost of tuition, books and computer software specifically created for developing business plans.
