GE Executive Speaks at Tippie School on Business Synergy
His speech, part of the Tippie School of Management's Knapp Lecture Series, will be Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m. in Room W401 of the Pappajohn Business Building.
GE is made up of six businesses, ranging from heavy industry to financial services, each of which includes a number of units aligned for growth. Sedita is chief financial officer and vice president of finance for GE Industrial, which provides a broad range of products and services throughout the world, including appliances and lighting, plastic and silicone products, and equipment services. He will talk about how GE Industrial works with others in the company to achieve benefit for all.
Sedita has held several financial assignments with GE, starting with GE Plastics in Europe and the U.S. in 1985. In 1993, he joined the global headquarters for GE Appliances as the finance manager and has served as an officer in the company since 1996. In 2002, he was appointed CFO of GE Consumer Products and in 2003, he became the CFO of GE Consumer & Industrial division. He was appointed CFO of GE Industrial in July 2005.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in finance and accounting from University of Bridgeport and is a graduate of the Financial Management Program of GE Supply Company.
