Students Participate in Entrepreneurial Conference
The students are attending the institute with 16 students from the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University. The will participate in the advanced study of entrepreneurship, including an entrepreneurial simulation; seminars with successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community leaders; and networking to enhance the students' understanding of opportunities in Iowa. Each student will receive three hours of academic credit for participation in the institute. The Institute also is intended to show the students business development opportunities in rural Iowa, particularly the northwest part of the state.
The Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute is a joint effort of the Board of Regents, State of Iowa; the Iowa Department of Economic Development; the Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers at the University of Iowa, the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University; and the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation.
