Pomerantz Career Center Sets Fall Job and Internship Fair

The University of Iowa's annual Fall Job and Internship Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the Amos Dean Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel. More than 120 employers are expected to be present with employment and internship opportunities. Students of all majors seeking full-time positions and internships are encouraged to attend. Students should bring a copy of their student ID to check in.

Sponsored by the UI's Marvin A. and Rose Lee Pomerantz Career Center, the event will host local, national and international companies and organizations such as, IBM, Wells Fargo, KFXA-TV and Ernst & Young.

"This is a great opportunity to network with potential employers about full-time or internship positions," said Angi McKie, director of marketing and public relations at the Pomerantz Career Center. She advises students to prepare for the fair like they would for an interview. "Bring copies of your resume, dress appropriately, and bring a list of questions that you have for the employers. This is a good way to jump start your career search."
