Former Gov. Mark Warner To Discuss Entrepreneurship with Students

Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner will speak at the University of Iowa on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at a meeting of the student entrepreneur group I-Envision. Warner's speech begins at 2 p.m. in the Bedell Entrepreneurship Learning Laboratory (BELL), 322 N. Clinton St.

Warner, who is considering running for the Democratic nomination for president in 2008, will discuss entrepreneurship, venture capitalism, and running a successful business. Warner was governor of Virginia from 2002 to 2006 and was named by Time magazine as one of the five best governors in the country. Before that, he co-founded Nextel Communications and was managing founder of Columbia Capital, with $1.2 billion in assets.

I-Envision is a group dedicated to boosting entrepreneurship in Iowa and helping its members start and maintain their own businesses.
