Construction Company CEO To Discuss Prototype Development

Bill Van Sant, president and CEO of Cedar Rapids-based Paladin Brands, will deliver the final lecture in the Entrepreneurial Venture Group's annual series on Thursday, April 26, at 4 p.m. in Room W401 of the John Pappajohn Business Building.

In his lecture, VanSant will discuss how rapid prototype development and early market validation gives a business competitive advantage and market leadership.

Paladin Brands is one of the nation's largest independent manufacturers and distributors of construction attachment products.

The Entrepreneurial Ventures Group (EVG) lecture series promotes faculty entrepreneurship and technology commercialization at UI and throughout the state. EVG presentations are open to faculty, staff and community members interested in education, networking and supporting faculty entrepreneurship and technology commercialization activities. This interdisciplinary partnership includes the Henry B. Tippie College of Business, Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, College of Engineering, College of Law, University of Iowa Research Foundation, and Office of the Vice President of for Research. EVG programs are also part of Iowa Centers for Enterprise: Business and Commercialization Services, which integrates existing UI economic development activities and is sponsored by Iowa State Bank and Trust Company.
