Self-employment training offered to Iowa entrepreneurs with disabilities
Kimberley Ray, administrator for Business Assistance Services for Entrepreneurs (BASE), says the seminar is designed to help participants explore entrepreneurship. BASE provides answers to individual questions about starting a business in Iowa and provides resources about business ownership. The seminar is made possible through BASE, a jointly sponsored program of the University of Iowa's Law, Health, Policy & Disability Center and the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
Program participation cost is $25 and reservations are limited to 15 persons, and a limited number of scholarships are available for those who qualify. Special accommodations, such as sign language interpreters and materials in alternate formats, will be provided upon timely request.
To register, call BASE at 1-866-684-8983 or (641) 932-3003 or via e-mail at amsray@lisco.net.
