UI Student Job and Internship Fair Features Diverse Opportunities Feb. 28

The UI will hold its spring job and internship fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 in the Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge. The free event, hosted by the Pomerantz Career Center, will feature more than 140 employers offering information about internships and jobs for current students during the school year or summer, or for soon-to-be graduates. 
In addition, students may obtain interviews with select companies for the day after the fair by entering their resume and other information in the career center's Expo database in advance, or by getting a direct invitation from an employer at the fair.
More than 1,500 students are expected to attend the fair, which brings in employers from companies across the nation. New this year are McDonald's, Supervalu Inc., Sprint, Verizon Wireless, Marriott International and Discover Financial Services.
