Students in the University of Iowa's Tippie MBA program will provide sandwiches and spaghetti for Iowa City's Shelter House next week. The students will make sandwiches during the lunch hour at noon Wednesday, March 5 in the kitchen on the fourth floor of the Pomerantz Center. The food will be delivered to Shelter House residents that afternoon. On Thursday, March 6, they will hold a spaghetti cooking party at the home of an MBA student and provide the food to the shelter.
The food is being donated by local grocery stores, including Fareway and New Pioneer Co-op. Participants are members of the MBA Association and Business for a Better World student organizations. Shelter House, 331 N. Gilbert St., is a nonprofit organization that provides housing and support services to the homeless of Southeast Iowa.
