Elevator Pitches
Two Tippie students were among the winners in a campuswide Elevator Pitch Competition, sponsored by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center during JPEC's National Entrepreneurship Week in February.
Ross Peterson, a finance major from Madrid, Iowa, took second place, and Jacob Rigert, a finance major from St. Charles, Ill., placed third in the Best Technology Business category.
Students presented a two-minute pitch, answered five minutes worth of questions from a panel of judges, and wrote a one-page executive summary on their business idea. There were 49 student teams from across the University who competed for more than $10,000 in prizes.
