Mount Honor Recognizes Personality and Job Performance Research

Michael K. Mount, Henry B. Tippie Research Professor of Management, received the Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award at the annual meeting of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) on April 1.

The award is given annually to those who have made the most distinguished empirical and/or theoretical scientific contributions to the field of industrial-organizational psychology. Mount was recognized for his groundbreaking research into the relationship between personality factors and job performance, which ushered in a new era of research and literature on personality in applied psychology.
