Youth Entrepreneurship Camp Remembers Paul Heyn with Ice Cream
Paul Heyn may be gone, but the annual Youth Entrepreneurship Camp at the Tippie College of Business will still make ice cream in his memory.
A camp tradition was Iowa City ice cream shop owner Paul Heyn working with campers each year to invent a new ice cream flavor, then returning a few days later with a tub of it for sampling.
Although Heyn died last summer, the students will make ice cream again. Camp Director Dawn Bowlus will help students invent a new flavor on Tuesday, which Heyn's Ice Cream will manufacture and deliver on Thursday.
Bowlus will also pay tribute to Heyn on Tuesday.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Camp for fourth through sixth graders will run from July 6-10. More information is available online at http://www.jacobsoninstitute.org/ecamp.html.
