Forbes Ranking Puts Tippie MBA in Elite Group
The University of Iowa's Tippie School of Management is one of the 20 top full-time MBA programs in the country, and offers one of the best values, according to a new survey by Forbes magazine.
The business monthly's biennial survey of full-time MBA programs ranks the Tippie MBA at number 20 in the country, and one of the best values in that group. The magazine found Tippie has the fourth-lowest payback time at 4.2 years. Only BYU, Cornell, Dartmouth and Harvard graduates take less time to pay back their tuition.
Forbes' survey is determined based on the return on investment graduates have achieved five years after graduating. Surveying the Class of 2004, the magazine found the average salary of a Tippie MBA student before entering the program was $43,000; five years after graduation, the average salary was $112,000.
The magazine based its rankings on the surveys of about 4,100 alumni of 103 schools. The full results will appear in the Forbes' issue on newsstands next week.
