MBA Students Advance to National Investment Research Competition
Members of the University of Iowa Henry Fund investment management team took home top prize at the Global Investment Research Challenge regional competition last week. The five second-year MBA students in the Tippie College of Business prepared a company analysis of Deere & Co., which was then judged by certified financial analysts.
The competition, sponsored by the CFA Society of Iowa, featured such other schools as Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa. The team moves onto the national tournament in New York City in March, with the winner advancing to the international competition in London.
The Henry Fund is a real-money investment fund managed by students in the Tippie MBA finance program. It was endowed by UI benefactors Henry Tippie and Henry Royer.
