Chicago Fed President Charles Evans to Speak at UI
Charles Evans, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, will speak at The University of Iowa on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 9:30 a.m. in Room 435 of the Pomerantz Center. Evans will discuss the global economy before the first-year Tippie MBA class, International Economic Environment of the Firm.
Evans has headed the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank since September 2007, and he also serves on the Federal Open Market Committee. Evans' expertise is monetary policy, banking, financial markets, and regional economics. Evans received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Virginia and a doctorate in economics from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
