Tippie Grad to Share Stories from a 3.5-Year Trip around the World
Andy Stoll, a media producer, social entrepreneur, and University of Iowa alumnus from Iowa City, will share insights and stories from his extensive world travels at noon Wednesday, May 5 at the Congregational Church located at 30 N. Clinton St., Iowa City. This Iowa City Foreign Relations Council (ICFRC) luncheon is catered by Mama’s Deli. Reservations are required.
Stoll recently completed a 3.5-year solo, independent trip around the world through 37 countries in an effort to better understand how people live in the world. He will tell stories and share one of his discoveries: Americans don’t travel like people from much of the rest of the world. Stoll thinks that only through altering this part of our culture will Americans be able to rebuild the country’s image abroad.
For reservations, call Sharon Benzoni at 319-335-0351 or send a form with a check to: ICFRC, 1111 University Capitol Centre, Iowa City, IA, 52242. Reservations are $8 for members and $9 for non-members and must be received by noon Tuesday, May 4.
ICFRC is a nonprofit association of community and University people interested in learning more about U.S. foreign policy, world affairs, and current global issues impacting world societies.
