Management Faculty Recognized for Team-Teaching
The University of Iowa Honors Programs has awarded Management and Organizations professors Ken Brown and Amy Colbert with the 2010 Lane Davis Award for Honors Team-Teaching. The two were honored for their First-Year Seminar on “How to Change the World:Principles of Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship.”
The Honors Program recognizes team-teaching as a crucial dynamic of an intellectual community and a valuable means for honors students to learn constructive argument to join lively conversations between professors who bring different educations and interests to important questions. Professor Lane Davis contributed 50 times or more to team-teaching, which allowed his faculty colleagues to learn from his energetic example and enriched classes for thousands of honors students at Iowa.
