Financial Times Survey Finds Tippie MBA Has Highest Graduate Placement Rate
The Full-time MBA Program in The University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Management has the highest job placement rate of any U.S.-based MBA program, included in the most recentFinancial Times ranking survey.
According to the survey, 95 percent of the program’s Class of 2010 graduates had a full-time job or accepted job offer within three months of graduation. That rate puts it above such schools as Harvard (90 percent), University of Chicago (89 percent), and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School (84 percent).
Tippie's placement success rate, which measures how alumni rank a school's career services team's effectiveness and averages that for up to three years, was ranked 15th in the United States.
The newspaper also ranked Tippie at 3rd in the United States and 38th in the world for overall value, taking into account such factors as graduates' first salary after receiving their degrees, course length, and tuition and fees.
Rounding out the rankings was 17th in the United States and 25th in the world for "aims achieved," a category that measures the extent to which alumni fulfilled their goals or reasons for doing an MBA.
