Tippie MBA Moves Up in U.S. News Rankings
Once again Tippie MBA programs have received national recognition of their excellence. In the just released 2011 U.S. News & World Report rankings, the Full-time MBA Program climbed to #40 in the nation, achieving four consecutive years of improvement in this ranking. The full-time rankings are determined by a combination of factors that include measures of program reputation, employment success of 2010 graduates, and student selectivity. U.S. News surveyed 437 accredited MBA programs in the United States.
In addition, the Tippie MBA-PM Program was ranked #32 out of nearly 300 programs considered in the magazine’s ranking of part-time MBA programs.
Both MBA programs were ranked 17th among programs at public universities.
Tippie College of Business Dean William C. (Curt) Hunter said the continued rise is well earned.
"Placing in the top 20 of all public programs and 3rd for employment three months following graduation, the Full-time MBA Program’s continued success can be attributed to our ability to recruit the best and brightest students and to attract the recognition of employers to the quality education our graduates receive at Iowa. Nearly 95% of our 2010 seeking graduates were employed by three months after graduation, which ranks right up there with the best of the best and is a statistic to be envied by most.
"The excellent ranking of our MBA-PM Program at #32 validates our ongoing commitment to providing a quality part-time MBA program to students already in the workplace in various Iowa communities.
"My thanks go out to all faculty and staff who devote their time and energy to these programs. Your hard work and dedication are paying off, not only in these rankings, but in the success that our graduates are having in the workplace."
