JPEC Co-Sponsoring StartUp Iowa City Event
Entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs looking for ideas can register for StartUp Weekend Iowa City, scheduled for Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 at the University of Iowa's Pappajohn Business Building.
Startup Weekends engage innovators, makers, and doers in a community to come together, pitch ideas, and work to build companies that solve real-world problems. While many are tech or application-based solutions, any business idea that addresses an audience beyond just a local market is welcome.
Tickets are $99, or $35 for students. For a complete agenda and to register, visit www.iowacity.startupweekend.org.
Local tech and startup leaders will serve as speakers, mentors, and judges. The keynote video will be provided by Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com. The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is one of the event sponsors.
