Financial Times Ranks Tippie MBA's Finance Program in Top 10 Worldwide
The University of Iowa Tippie School of Management's finance program has been ranked the seventh best in the world in a recent survey by Financial Times newspaper.
The London-based global financial daily compiled its rankings with a survey that ranked such elements as salary increase after receiving the degree, quality of teaching, and employment rate within three months of graduation.
The Tippie School of Management's finance program is especially important in Iowa, where its instruction and research directly benefit the state's financial services industry. Many current students also work in the financial sector and are helping to build their careers with our curriculum and world-class faculty. The department focuses on "learning by doing," where our students, for instance, serve as consultants to businesses across the state, or manage the Henry Fund, a multimillion dollar stock portfolio. The goal is to bring the strong academic content delivered in the classroom to the real world.
The finance program's top ranking puts it in the same company as Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, and New York University.
Did you know? The overall Tippie MBA program was ranked 90th in the world by the Financial Times survey, the only MBA program in Iowa to be ranked.
